When Jason Hsiao, Brad Jefferson, Steve Clifton and Tom Clifton saw the poor quality of videos available on the internet, they decided to make a change. In 2006 they launched Animoto, a web-based service that helps people create excellent quality videos from photos, music and video clips using special Cinematic Artificial Intelligence technology. They created the Animoto Facebook app in 2008 and had over 700,00 users sign up for the app before the end of the year. In 2009 they made their services accessible on the iPhone, allowing users to create their videos from anywhere in the world.
The founders of Animoto are passionate about what they do and the services they're offering to the general populace. They believe everyone should have access to the necessary tools to create the best quality videos no matter what media they're using, and they believe it should be affordable as well. Animoto wants to make it possible for people to tell their story digitally without having to go out and buy excessive amounts of expensive equipment.
What makes Animoto's unique?
Animoto is able to create excellent videos at affordable prices with just about any media their customers bring to them. Not only is it an excellent tool for individuals wanting to create videos of special events in their lives, but teachers and students can use Animoto to create lessons, classroom presentations and various school projects.
