SeaWorld Parks' History
SeaWorld started operations for the very first time in the year 1964. It was founded by four people namely David Demott, Ken Norris, Milt Shedd and George Millay. SeaWorld was originally intended to be an underwater restaurant. But the idea grew to be a marine zoological park on the shore of Mission Bay in San Diego. Sea World started with an initial investment of US$ 1.5 million, dolphins, two saltwater aquariums and some sea lions. In the first year itself, the park attracted more than 400,000 visitors. Currently, three SeaWorld parks exist in U.S.A- SanDiego, Orlando and San Antonio. Later, Sesame Place was started as the solo theme park in America dedicated to Sesame Street. It educates audiences about SeaWorld through entertainment. The park started as a three acre theme park in 1980 and today it is more than 55 acres, play areas, many shows, events and four dozen rides.
