The Book Depository's History
The Book Depository is an online book catalogue based in the UK that was originally created by former Amazon.com employee Andrew Crawford. It offers thousands of titles along with free shipping. Along with the current COO Stuart Felton, Crawford launched The Book Depository in 2004. It was later acquired by Amazon in 2011.
The Book Depository's Values
Andrew Crawford’s goal for creating The Book Depository was to make “All Books Available to All” by having over 12 million titles available for purchase and free delivery to over 160 countries. This is accomplished by working in conjunction with publishers and distributors to make books affordably available to as many people as possible.
What makes The Book Depository unique?
The Book Depository is working hard to make every title in the world available on their website, with the goal of becoming the most widely accessible online book retailer with the broadest availability of books on the market.
