US Airways' History
US Airways can trace their company history back to 1939 and All American Aviation. In 1953, the company changed their name to Allegheny Airlines when they changed from airmail service to passenger service. During the 1970s, during airline deregulation, they became US Airways and expanded their operations and in 2006, they merged with America West.
