What makes a successful campaign pitch?

Hi influencers, what makes a successful campaign pitch? Long or brief? Sell yourself (& your personal brand, following stats, etc) OR focus on your connection with the brand? We’ve applied for 15-20 opportunities with either no response from the brand or a very unclear decline? What’s the secret here?

Emily Helwig Hi guys! I think a great way to go is to lead in with your connection to the brand, and hit a few points as to why you might be a good fit to promote your product. Then, you could try adding a few examples of past sponsored content that you've done, or throw in a few high-level stats (the brands can look through your social stats straight from your Dealspotr profile, so no need to go to deep here).

Emily Helwig Also, each brand has a different method for going through their applications — some are looking for very niche-specific influencers, others are looking for a certain size. My best advice to you is to be patient, and don't get discouraged if a brand doesn't accept right away! And we're constantly adding new campaigns each week that you can apply for while you wait. P.S. — you are able to post discussions to the Influencer Marketing interest, so that way even users who don't follow you can see your posts. You can do that by clicking on the "Post to:" field when posting a status, and then typing in "Influencer Marketing" in the search bar. Your post will show up in the Influencer Marketing interest, as well as on the feeds of any users who follow you!
