In an effort to bring awareness to his charity the Eastern Congo Initiative, Oscar winner and director Ben Affleck has teamed up with TOMS on a new limited edition shoe collection.
Established in 2010, the charity aims at helping the youth and families of Congo. It is "the first U.S. based advocacy and grant-making initative wholly focused on working with and for the people of Eastern Congo." The line boasts three styles; two for men and one for women, and features designs made from Congolese textiles. In addition to TOMS' One For One program, $5 for every pair sold will be donated to ECI. Funds collected will go towards programs for the youth and families of Eastern Congo. TOMS x ECI is available for purchase at toms.com, nordstrom.com and at the TOMS flagship store in Venice, CA. The footwear brand is no stranger to collaborations. TOMS recently teamed up with actress Charlize Theron's Africa Outreach Project and has also partnered with the Olsen Twins fashion line The Row.
