Everyone loves to save money... but sometimes saving cash isn’t always an obvious thing. As veteran online shoppers, we here at BluePromoCode know a thing or two about saving money online. And we’re ready to pass our tips on to you!

Take it from us, the 7 places presented in the infographic below are the best places to find deals for your favorite store. Read on for more info on each tip.

Here are 7 secrets to finding online deals explained:

1. BluePromoCode
If you already know the store you want to shop at but don’t have any coupons, try searching for that store on a site like BluePromoCode. With over 12,000 stores in our database, there’s a high chance we have a page for your favorite online shop. And plenty of current deals to boot! Running a search for coupons and promo codes on BluePromoCode is a good idea to do before you start shopping since coupons regularly include specific items or criteria for usage.

2. Social Media
I would be willing to bet most of next months pay stub that the brand or store you love is on social media. And one thing about brands on social media is they love making their followers happy! Deals are a great way for a brand to get fans to interact on social media and to increase their following when we share their messages amongst ourselves. Before you finalize your purchase and check out, head to the brands profile on Twitter or Facebook and see if they’ve shared any deals recently. Then be sure to share it yourself if it was a particularly good one!

3. Deal Forums
Forums are a great place to find deals spotted by other people and links to the deepest corners of the internet. There are forums for anything! From health to sports and of course, deals and coupons. If you’re curious as to how shoppers just like you are saving money, head to a deal forum and peruse the deals. Conversely, if you happen to have a deal that served you well, share the wealth! Here are a few of our favorite deal forums to check out regularly:

4. Ditch Shopping Cart
After you’ve finished loading up your online shopping cart with everything you want to purchase, see if you’re offered a deal by doing something crazy: abandon your shopping cart completely! Sometimes in an effort to finish the transaction, stores will offer hidden discounts and coupons to shoppers who have seemingly changed their mind.

5. Email Newsletter
Signing up for a stores email newsletter is a solid way to see if that store is offering any special savings since these will often be sent to the brands most loyal fans via a newsletter. However, it can be a little bit of a turnoff to willingly ask a brand to send you emails... Have no fear! You can easily unsubscribe from these newsletters if they are sent too often or don’t have the content you’re interested in.

6. Online Live Chat
Some stores offer shoppers the ability to chat in real-time with a customer service representative. If the store you’re shopping at has this function, use it to see what coupons or promo codes that store is currently offering.

7. Google
When all else fails (or maybe even BEFORE anything fails), taking to Google with some well-placed search terms can often turn up the coupons and promo codes you need right away. Why not try "coupons" and "promo codes" as your search terms? The only problem with this approach is you will turn up a lot of old, expired coupons that will do you no good. Better just go back to Number 1. ;)
