Coupons are traditionally thought about in terms of food, clothing and housewares, but they go way beyond those traditional categories these days.
Almost every business offers some kind of coupon or promotion, and some of the listings may surprise you.
There are coupons for items ranging from teenager drug tests to no-collateral bail bonds to even apocalypse prep kits.
Here are strangest and most unusual coupons we found on the Internet.
1. Walk-home-from-bar Coupon

Mack’s Tavern, a recently-opened bar in Centerville, Ohio, surprised a customer who chose to walk home instead of driving by placing a $5-off-the-next-tab coupon on his car’s windshield. Intended to promote responsible drinking, Mack’s coupons are a great way for Mack’s Tavern to build a relationship with the community and keep the roads of Centerville safe.
2. Bankruptcy Special

Bankruptcy is a word that inspires fear, disappointment, and failure. Hoping to soften the harsh reality of liquidation, Tidewater Law Group, a law firm based in Virginia, offers a $150 off coupon for Chapter 7 Bankruptcy services. Considering what the coupon is for, we’re pretty sure they charge their clients upfront.
3. Plagiarism Promo

Writing essays is a big part of going to college, but often students may feel so overwhelmed that they turn to plagiarism to get through. Dozens of websites dedicated to writing papers for students have propped up over the years, and, in an effort to compete with each other, some of them have started offering promo codes to struggling students.
4. Dental Discount

Removing your wisdom teeth can be an excruciating experience, which is why Dr. Shubin of San Juan Capistrano, California, is offering a $100-off per wisdom tooth discount to help sweeten the procedure. Think of all the savings if you go for all four wisdom teeth at once!
5. Grave Arrangement

Tobias Funeral Homes, an Ohio-based funeral home chain, is advertising a 10% off discount on any burial or cremation service if you attend and pre-plan your funeral at one of their four locations.
While it’s certainly important to get your affairs in order before passing away, we feel a little blue about taking advantage of a discount that we won’t be alive for.
6. Till Discount Do Us Part

Hoping to get more clients, Georgia-based divorce attorney Sean Simmons posted a “buy one divorce, get the next one half off” ad in the local newspaper. Although he initially received verbal attacks from irate Georgia residents, Simmons says the ad “worked well.”
Considering this coupon was printed three years ago and that Simmons is still in business, it may have worked better than he expected.
7. Forged Freebies

Instagram is used for many things: sharing photos, discovering trends, and keeping tabs on your friends. It’s also used as a marketplace to sell fake IDs for high school and college students who don’t want to wait until they’re 21 to buy alcohol.
Apparently, the competition to attract underage students is so fierce that some sellers have gone so far as to offer free IDs to promote interest in their counterfeit wares.
