An unlikely duo - US lifestyle brand Tommy Hilfiger, best known for his all-American clothing collections, and The Walt Disney Company have teamed up on a capsule collection featuring The Muppets!
The line boasts t-shirts, sweatshirts and jumpers geared towards children ages 6 months to 16 years old. Sketches of the puppets including Miss Piggy, Kermit the Frog and Fozzie Bear wearing pieces from Hilfiger’s spring/summer 2013 collection, appear on the garments. Miss Piggy tells VOGUE, “Moi adores working with Tommy on the Muppets collection, “ she said. “ Not only is he talented, elegant and gracious, but he does all the work. All moi has to do is tell him what I think about the designs and Tommy takes care of all of it!”
This collaboration shows off Hilfiger’s whimsical, fun side and illustrates the Muppets as the American icons that they are. Miss Piggy is featured on one of the tees donning a striped knee-length dress from Hilfiger’s latest collection where as Kermit appears in burgundy chinos and a blazer. The line is available for purchase both online and in-stores worldwide.
