The Outnet is a high-end fashion site, offering competitive prices on some of the most desired name brands in women’s fashion. The Outnet promotes mixing high-end pieces with vintage and previous pieces, which means the price ranges vary greatly. The Outnet may not be as popular as some other designer brand sites, and most new customers don’t know the tips and tricks available to save money when shopping The Outnet. Simply follow these guidelines on your next purchase.
Shop the End of Season Sale
The Outnet End of Season Sale includes over 200 designers, 2,000 designer items, and an extra 40% off already reduced clearance items at checkout. Once you navigate to the sale page, filter by size to ensure you’re viewing items in stock that are your size – you can then filter by designer or category (clothing, bags, shoes, accessories).
Refer a Friend and Get $30
Once you’re registered on the site, you can receive $30 by referring a friend to the Outnet. The terms and conditions are as follows: The friend you refer has to be a new customer (meaning they are not registered on The Outnet’s website and have not purchased anything from The Outnet). A store credit of $30 will be applied to your account after your friend makes their first purchase, as long as your friend makes a purchase within 30 days of receiving the referral email from you (if your friend makes a purchase more than 30 days from the date you send them the refer-a-friend email, then you won’t receive credit). The email address that they use when making their purchase must be the same email address you use to send them the referral. You’ll only receive one credit per friend, and if your friend decides to return all of the items from their purchase, you do not receive the credit.
Inside Tip
There is a two-week waiting period after your friend’s purchase before your account is credited (to ensure your friend does not return the purchase)
Check if There Are Charity Sales Going On
The Outnet sometimes holds charity sales. For example, the Victoria Beckham charity sale in support of the mothers2mothers charity raised funds to help mentor mothers interseted in providing health, education and support to HIV-positive mothers. Victoria Beckham chose over 600 pieces from her personal wardrobe to sell exclusively at The Outnet. The pieces included a Prada minidress worn by Mrs. Beckham in the Spiceworld movie and a red bomber jacket created especially for a Spice Girls tour. These types of sales are a great opportunity to snag one-of-a-kind clothing pieces you won’t find anywhere else.
Sign Up for Email Updates
While you can make purchases without registering your email on The Outnet website, you won’t have access to any of their online sales events or clearance items. Registering your email allows you to stay updated on upcoming sales and even giveaways. Another perk of registering your email is that you can make purchases without having to re-enter your credit card information.
Inside Tip
While having access to the online sales events at The Outnet is a major perk, it's important to rembmer that you are not able to use promo codes on clearance or promotional items. Also noteworthy is that these sales are final. You will not be able to return any of the items you buy.
Shop the Going, Going, Gone Sale
The Going, Going, Gone sale allows you to choose the price you want for a short period of time. The sale begins with the featured item’s original price, but drops continuously throughout the sale until the item is out of stock. The Outnet holds this sale twice a week, but only runs it for a short period of time – and you’re required to register for the site before you can participate.
Inside Tip
Choose carefully, because once you click “add to the bag,” the price becomes locked. If you add the item to your bag too early, you might miss out on a lower price. It’s also important not to wait too long, because then the item you want may be out of stock.
Shop the Pop-Up Sale
The pop-up sales feature a group of items edited by brand or theme, and the items are typically on sale only for a limited time (usually 72 hours). In order to shop for a pop-up sale, you’ll have to register and sign up on the site – you must then pay for your items before the timer in your shopping cart runs out. You may purchase both pop-up sale items with regularly priced items at the same time.
Inside Tip
If there is an item you want covered by the pop-up sale, but The Outnet doesn’t have your size in stock, check back periodically while the sale is still going on, because they may have other shoppers cancel their order – thus making the size you need available.
Watch for Giveaways
If you want an opportunity to win a designer item for free, simply fill out your information before the advertised closing time and date of the giveaway and wait to see if you’re the lucky winner. The giveaways are open to registered and non-registered customers, and you simply have to be 18 years or older to participate.
