Piperlime is a mostly-online brand that sells trendy, fun clothes from well-known designers like 7 For All Mankind, Trina Turk, and True Religion, and funkier, lesser known brands such as Eight Sixty, Clover Canyon, Coolchange, and more. There's only one brick-and-mortar store, and it's in New York.
Athleta is Gap, Inc's activewear brand for women, catering to yoga devotees and health nuts everywhere. For those focused on overall well-being, Athleta stores offer free fitness classes, group runs, and other benefits.
Use Your Gap, Inc Store Cards At These Stores
At first glance, it may seem difficult to squeeze great deals out of these more expensive-looking brands. However, the benefits kick in when you use your Gap or Old Navy or Banana Republic store cards at these stores, and earn points that go back to those cards. You'll earn 5 points for every dollar spent at these stores on your cards, and once you've earned 1,000 points, you'll get a $10 rewards card you can use at any Gap, Inc store.
Track Coupon Pages, Emails, & Social Media
If you want to be completely on top of all the deals from Athleta and Piperlime, then bookmark their coupons and follow them on social media. Signing up for emails from Athleta will net you an extra 500 rewards points if you're signing up for the first time. Piperlime will send you a $15 off coupon on your birthday. Emails notify you about exclusive sales, events, and give you first dibs on coupons. Follow them on social media for first looks, contests, and exclusive sales and coupons.
Stack Promo Codes
As in other Gap, Inc stores, you can also combine promo codes. Stacking promo codes can be a kind of guessing game - it won't always work. If a particular promo code combination doesn't work, then the one with the larger discount will be applied, and you can save the other promo code for another transaction.
For Piperlime, the promo codes are limited, and cannot be applied to certain designers or brands, or on final sale items.
Stalk The Sales Sections
There are permanent sale sections in each store, where you'll find end-of-season clothes, and out-of-season clothing at discounted prices. At Athleta, you can track new markdowns, and get savings on everything from swimwear to dresses.
At Piperlime, you can get up to 40% off designer clothing, and major discounts on other brands. You'll find women and men's clothing, accessories, shoes, and kid's shoes and accessories for cheap.
Piperlime has a fun section called Girl On A Budget, which lists everything they have for under a hundred dollars.
Take Advantage Of Generous Return Policies
While Piperlime has a slightly more restrictive return policy, you can return items from both stores for free or exchange them for credit. At Piperlime, you have 30 days to return an item, there are limitations on returning swimwear, and final sale items cannot be returned.
However, at Athleta, you can return any item to any store at any time, and there are no limitatons on the types of items to be returned. It's one of the most generous return policies we've seen so far.
If you're looking for real rewards and savings, it's pretty easy to do so if you shop often at the Gap, Inc stores. Each store has a different focus, but since you can transfer rewards between the stores, you gain a lot in flexibility, variety, and savings!
