I’m sitting here, trying to figure out the first insider tip you’ll receive from me. And as I look down at the free Dunkin’ Donuts Coolata drinking, it hits me. Free coffee. Who doesn’t run on free coffee? I definitely do.

If you don’t know me, I’m Lisa, blogger at the frugal lifestyle blog Drugstore Divas and the wedding blog A Bride On A Budget. I spent 14 hours a day working – finding the greatest deals for my readers, creating frugal DIY projects and recipes, and designing wedding crafts that don’t break the bank. I work until 3am daily, then unwind by playing Candy Crush into the middle of the morning. Sleep isn’t often on my To Do list. So I exist on coffee.

And I love free coffee.

Dunkin’ Donuts has a free loyalty program called DD Perks. Signing up is easy. You go online to DD Perk’s website and register. You then add gift cards to your account. When you go to Dunkin’ for your favorite coffee or snack, pay with your registered gift card and you will earn points. Each $1 spent is 5 points. When you reach 200 points ($40), you’ll get an offer for a free beverage of your choice. You’ll also get a free beverage on your birthday. I’m always getting emails from Dunkin’ Donuts with offers for bonus points (like this one, so it should actually cost you less than $40 to get your freebie.

If you’re more of a Starbucks fan, you can join My Starbucks Rewards. Each trip to Starbucks earns you a star. One star a year gets you a free beverage for your birthday. Five stars gets you to green level (and gets you free refills on brewed coffee or tea). Thirty stars brings you to gold (and you’ll get a free beverage or treat every 12 stars when you’re at gold). It’s a bit more expensive to get freebies at Starbucks, but, regardless, if you’re already going to the coffee shop for your daily fix, you might as well get something for it.

Lisa can be found with a coffee cup next to her as she blogs at Drugstore Divas and A Bride On A Budget, finding you ways to save thousands every year – so you can spend those extra dollars on an overpriced latte and not feel guilty about it.
