Dealspotr has just rolled out an exciting new feature that will enhance the community experience for all users.
Our new flagging system is designed to weed out inappropriate posts that violate our community guidelines, and reward those who take the time to preserve the integrity of the community.
We have removed the downvote option and replaced it with a flag icon. When users come across a deal post that does not fit within our guidelines, they can flag it by clicking the icon and then selecting the reason why they flagged it from a dropdown list. Dealspotr staff will then be notified once a deal post has been flagged. If the flag was legitimate, then the user who flagged the deal will receive Karma Points and the user who posted the deal will lose Karma Points.
The flagging process is also kept completely anonymous, so there is no way for users to find out who flagged their deals.
The vast majority of Dealspotr users abide by the rules and are fantastic community members and contributors. With flagging in place, they can now enjoy an improved site and gain more exposure for their quality deal posts without them being crowded out by questionable deals.
