What are Shopper Requested Stores?

Shopper Requested Stores are stores that have a large number of visitors while having no or few codes. They are listed under the Stores tab:

Why should you do them?

Not only are you helping the Dealspotr community by making sure we have codes for every store someone might need but you also get rewarded for helping us out: You can earn 3 times the points for deals for Shopper Requested Stores.

How to find the Shopper Requested Stores section on Dealspotr

So now you can get started finding codes for these Shopper Requested Stores. Here are some ways to get started.

Choose a store that you are familiar with or think will likely have a code

As I browsed through the Shopper Requested Stores, I see one I think will have codes.

World Soccer Shop sells soccer jerseys as well as balls and cleats and seems like a large enough store that it’ll have codes available.

Check to see if any expired or unhealthy codes are still working

A great tip to remember is that if a store has expired or unhealthy codes, just check all of them. Once you're in a store's checkout process, it's very easy to just test out all the codes and it's possible that one of them could be good.

In my specific case, I check World Soccer Shop’s page but see no other site-specific codes or expired deals so unfortunately I have to move on.

But for the sake of this guide, let's consider a case where there are expired or unhealthy codes. Here's an example from Danner's Dealspotr page:

Further down Danner's page there are codes that have a low health bars:

I go to Galls and use the two codes but they don't work. But in most cases where a store has numerous unhealthy codes, it takes very little time per code to test them and if one works, you'll have gotten more points in less time than finding a new code to add.

Search on Google

My first step after leaving Dealspotr to find codes for World Soccer Shop is to Google search.

Check other coupon sites

Google searching leads me to other coupon sites like RetailMeNot and Coupon Cabin. I check to see if any work but in this case none of the other coupon sites has anything for me.

Check if the website has any deals featured

Next, I check if the website itself has any deals by going to their site.

I see a notice for $1.99 shipping, something I didn’t see on Dealspotr or any other site.

I click the link:

It’s an offer for $1.99 shipping on all orders over $125 that is valid through the end of October 2017.

Check if the website sends codes for signing up for a newsletter

I also check to see if World Soccer Shop has a discount when you sign up for the newsletter:email subscription.png

I don’t see any mention of a discount but I sign-up just in case. Though World Soccer Shop doesn’t have a code for signing up, many other sites do so it is good to check.

Check the store’s social media accounts

Dealspotr links the store’s social media accounts directly on the store's page and many stores will often post sales and deals on them so make sure to look through their social media as well.

Add the deal

Though I didn’t find any other codes or deals, I did find the $1.99 shipping on orders over $125 so I go back to the Dealspotr site and add it.

I post it and see that my deal has been added to the page.

Success! Though it takes a little more digging than adding a regular code, I got a greater reward and at the same time contributed something to the Dealspotr Community.

What if you can't find any codes?

In that case, you should let everyone know that you've looked at the store but couldn't find any codes by marking it.

You can find that button on the timeline:

When you click it, a box will open that looks like this:

Click the "I just checked, no new codes" and you'll let everyone know that someone has checked this store and help the community save time and earn more points!
