It’s no secret that Cyber Monday is the most popular online shopping day in America, but what many people don’t realize is that you can find deals that are just as good during Thanksgiving week.
With big deals on toys, clothing, and electronics, many retailers hope to get a leg up on their competition by attracting consumers to their websites days before Cyber Monday rolls around.
Below you’ll find a list of the best retailers that offer killer Thanksgiving Day online deals.
Amazon: The undisputed king of ecommerce, you’ll find hundreds of discounts from Amazon on Thanksgiving Day. In addition to having frequent flash sales on specific items that update
every minute, Amazon is a great tool to use for comparison shopping when looking for that specific must-have item.
Walmart: While Walmart is famous for Black Friday sales in brick and mortar stores, the retail giant still has a robust selection of great online deals. Last year, Walmart got a head start on its competition by having a 24-hour “cyber savings event” a week prior to Cyber Monday. Expect Walmart to have deep discounts on Blu-ray movies, televisions, tablets, and certain home appliances.
Newegg: When it comes to computer hardware, Newegg is arguably your best bet for finding the most online deals for laptops, monitors, and computer hardware. Recently, Newegg has opened up its inventory to include other categories like car parts, sporting goods, and beauty products. Like Amazon, Newegg features special daily deals on Thanksgiving week, so be sure to check back everyday to see if there are some items that may interest you.
Target: Taking a page out of Walmart’s playbook, Target offered a one-day online sale on the Monday of Thanksgiving week that lasted from noon to midnight, and sprinkled several aggressive online deals throughout the week leading up to Black Friday. Target typically offers free shipping on all online orders during the holiday shopping season, and it’s likely that they’ll do the same this year.
Best Buy: Last year, Best Buy offered an “early access sale” that listed a limited number of online-only deals with huge discounts on electronics like televisions, smartwatches, and DSLR cameras. The 24-hour online sale required a unique promo code to work and shipping was free on all orders over $35.
Sears: Sears is known to jumpstart its its Black Friday deals with a “Friends and Family” online sale with steep discounts on clothes and apparel, appliances, tools, and footware. Last year Sears held the online event roughly two weeks before Black Friday, and it’s likely that they’ll be doing the same this year.
Office Depot/OfficeMax: Office Depot and its subsidiary OfficeMax held an “every Monday is Cyber Monday” event last year where they offered deeply discounted online deals on office supplies, office furniture, and electronics. "
