Announced last winter, the long-awaited arrival of diffusion label Versus (Versace’s sister line) and British designer J.W. Anderson’s capsule collection will finally debut tonight at a party in New York City. Anderson drew inspiration for the collection from a 1996 Versace ad campaign shot by famed photographer Bruce Weber. The collection will feature RTW apparel and accessories for both men and women.

The London-based talent has been asked to stay on as creative director; Donatella also revealed earlier this week to Global Post that Versus will never again have a fashion show and that it will only be shown through special events.
Yesterday fans were able to get a sneak peek of the line during a Google + Hangout led by Fashion Blogger Jay Strut. Influential models and reputable fashion bloggers from around the world were also asked to take part in the virtual fashion launch via their webcams. The line will be sold at www.versus.it, department stores like Neiman Marcus, Bloomingdale's, and boutiques worldwide.
